Donaumarina Tower, Viena – Austria
AN EXPRESIVE STRUCTURAL FAÇADE ROOTED IN EFFICIENCY AND PERMANENCE

The tower’s structural concept uses two central cores and an external load-bearing skin, enabling open, flexible office spaces while optimizing resistance to wind and seismic forces. This system enhances fire safety, supports natural ventilation, and simplifies maintenance through integrated protection from sun and rain. The façade blends a classical vertical order with a double-column system that visually lightens the upper levels through a subtle “peeling” effect. Chamfered corners increase façade surface, improve sunlight and views, and help the building integrate into its urban context. The octagonal footprint boosts overall stability and reduces wind exposure. A rooftop lantern offers panoramic views and potential for amenities, reinforcing the building’s identity and appeal.
