URBAN CONTINUITY AND LANDMARK DESIGN ALONG THE EDGE OF DUBAI CREEK

The project is conceived as an urban landmark that merges contemporary design with traditional Islamic architectural elements, situated along the dynamic edge of Dubai Creek. Responding to an irregular site with varying heights, the building takes on a form reminiscent of a boat’s prow, with a vertical volume housing hotel rooms and retail, and a horizontal wing along the promenade containing suites, a restaurant, pool terrace, and spa. This composition activates the waterfront and enhances public engagement. Architectural features such as lattices, screens, and open courtyards reflect Islamic heritage while improving climate responsiveness. The design balances modernity with tradition, aligning with a Mediterranean approach adapted to Dubai’s environmental and cultural context.
